I accepted the role as an Executive Assistant for a technology multimillion-dollar startup division within the $21B Cox Enterprises organization in 2014 after turning down several other job opportunities; I loved their focus on Community Relations.
While the team I supported focused heavily on Product, Technology, Sales, Operations, and Marketing, I saw an opportunity to amplify employee culture and communications. As an EA, my job was to help my boss succeed in any possible way, so I slowly took on those responsibilities with the Marketing team’s blessing.
